(FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 4, 2007) -- ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT), a leading provider of innovative technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs for the Intelligence Community; the Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security and Justice; the Space Community; and other U.S. federal government customers announced today that it received a contract in the fourth quarter 2006 to support mine-clearing and other systems for the U.S. Army in numerous locations within Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.

The competitively awarded task order, issued under the Army Communications Electronics Life Cycle Command, Rapid Response contract, has a base-period and option-period, and a total potential value to ManTech of $159 million over sixteen months. This new task order is demand driven and requirements may accelerate over time based on the Army's needs in the theater of operation. ManTech is a lead subcontractor to VSE Corporation (Nasdaq: VSEC), Alexandria, VA.

ManTech will provide services as ordered under the task including deployed sustainment management; deployed logistics and repairs management; unique system training and curriculum support; and resource management and acquisition. ManTech will support unique and specialized systems including the mine-clearing, Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Rapid Response Vehicle (JERRV). Services will be provided in Southwest Asia - including Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait, for the Program Management Assured Mobility Systems and the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command.

The JERRV is a medium mine-protected vehicle designed and built to provide increased survivability to EOD and combat engineer mine clearing teams in known threat areas.

"We are uniquely qualified to meet the challenges of this important time-sensitive work to support the men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces," said Robert A. Coleman, ManTech President and Chief Operating Officer. "We are proud to apply our considerable experience and skill to ensure the successful support of this mission-critical equipment that must be operated and maintained in some of the most hazardous areas around the world."

"Since 2003, ManTech has been the preferred contractor to maintain route clearance and countermine/counter Improvised Explosive Device systems and equipment. We look forward to expanding our successful maintenance and logistical network of assets to support our customers and their fleet of JERRV and specialized vehicles," said Eugene C.
