Parsons announced today the award of a contract from the Europe District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Under this IDIQ (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) contract, Parsons will continue to provide military master planning services as well as related support at installations and contingency operations throughout the U.S. European Command Area of Operations. This area stretches from Norway to the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas, most of Europe, and parts of the Middle East.
"During the past three years, we have completed twenty-two project assignments for the Europe District Corps of Engineers," states Bob Bax, Parsons Senior Vice President. "From initial master planning, to site layout and cost estimating, to engineering and design, we have had great success in applying our technical capabilities. This contract renewal provides us with an opportunity to build on these successes," adds Bax.
Parsons, one of the leading firms doing facilities planning studies for the Department of Defense, has been performing military planning studies for the Europe District Corps of Engineers since the early 1980s. These studies have included a wide array of assignments such as comprehensive master plans, programming documents, planning and design charretts, mapping, economic analyses, installation design guides, facility utilization surveys, and stationing plans. As the incumbent on this project, Parsons has the necessary experience to continue providing the planning services that the Europe District Corps of Engineers requires for its existing and planned military installations. This project is being funded on a task order basis with a ceiling of $3 million over three years.
