Raytheon Awarded $16.3 M Contract by the TSA to Provide Security Screening Services at Key West International and Florida Keys Marathon Airports

(Reston, Va., May 24, 2007) -- Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) LLC, a subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN), has received a contract valued up to $16.3 million to provide passenger and baggage screening services at two Florida commercial airports, Key West International Airport and the Florida Keys Marathon Airport, under the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Screening Partnership Program (SPP). The total period of performance is four years, four months, which begins today and ends Sept. 30, 2011.

RTSC teamed with McNeil Security Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of McNeil Technologies, and the current SPP contractor at the Greater Rochester International Airport, to offer the TSA a comprehensive screening operations plan. The plan complies with TSA airport security standard operating procedures and will address the recruiting and retention challenges in the Florida Keys.

Existing TSA Key West Federal Transportation Security Officers will be offered jobs with the Raytheon and McNeil team. The staff will be augmented by approximately 20- to 30- new hires, providing job opportunities for residents in the lower Keys. All employees will be offered a competitive compensation and benefits plan that has been designed to meet the Florida Keys cost of living requirements.

"We are excited about this TSA award because it is an opportunity to continue enhancing RTSC's reputation as a trusted Federal services contractor," said Dave Dacquino, vice president of RTSC's Integrated Support Solutions business area. "This contract will help solidify RTSC's position as a strategic partner and allow us to provide Mission Support solutions that enhance homeland security.

"Also, we are very pleased that this contract will provide jobs and economic growth to the residents of the lower Keys," Dacquino added. "It's a win-win for everyone involved."
