ManTech Awarded Two Major Government IDIQ Contract Vehicles - GSA Alliant and the State Department Security Assurance Services and Innovation Program
(Fairfax, Va., July 31, 2007) -- ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) announced it has been awarded contracts for two multiple-award programs - the General Services Administration's Alliant program which has a $50 billion ceiling and the Department of State's Security Assurance Services and Innovation (SASI) contract which has a $710 million aggregate value. Both of the competitively awarded contracts are multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) type contracts.
"These are very important contract awards for ManTech because of their scope and the missions they support," said George J. Pedersen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ManTech International Corporation. "ManTech has an ever-expanding range of innovative national security solutions for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, State Department and other government organizations. These contracts provide our national security customer base with additional avenues to obtain ManTech's capabilities and services."
The GSA's Alliant Governmentwide Acquisition Contract is for 10 years and is open to all federal and Department of Defense agencies. ManTech was one of 29 companies to receive awards for the contract which will support national security in areas such as infrastructure protection, anti-terrorism and emerging technologies.
Under the State Department SASI, blanket purchase agreement, ManTech will provide cyber security, cyber threat analysis, mission support and systems engineering. The contract was awarded to eight companies and it is for one base year and four option years. ManTech received this contract in its second quarter.
Robert A. Coleman, President and Chief Operating Officer, ManTech International Corporation said that "The State Department's global network is one of the federal government's largest IT infrastructures. ManTech has extensive computer network defense capabilities that we believe will create added value to the State Department."
"ManTech has been supporting the Department of State for more than 16-years providing worldwide technical, physical and cyber security programs that have consistently produced outstanding results," said Joseph R. Fox, President of ManTech Information Systems and Technology. "This BPA provides the opportunity to integrate cyber security and mission assurance functions across the Department, and we have created an outstanding team that is excited and prepared to continue providing innovative services and capabilities to support these important needs."
