VEM Receives 'EASA' Certification for the Airbus A310

(Rio de Janeiro, January 14, 2008) -- Already approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) in the United States, for heavy maintenance on Airbus aircraft, VEM Maintenance & Engineering has now been certified by the European Union's EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) for the Airbus A310. Now, VEM is able to perform maintenance services on A310 aircraft and its components, whether registered in the United States or in Europe.

VEM has a global presence, focuses on client satisfaction and the EASA certification for the A310 is part of the company's strategy for increasing the service portfolio it offers to the market and for boosting its volume of businesses. With its maintenance expertise for Boeing's B727, B737, B737NG, B747, B757, B767, B777, BBJ, DC10, MD-11, Embraer's EMB-120, ERJ 145 and Legacy, Fokker F50 and F100, and the Airbus A300 and A300-600, VEM now grows with the A310. "VEM is now certified by the FAA and EASA for the A310, which allows us to expand our service offerings, consolidating the company's growth", says the company's CEO, Filipe Morais de Almeida.
