Saab Training Systems Signs a Support Contract With the Slovenian Armed Forces

(February 1, 2008) -- Saab Training Systems, Huskvarna, has signed a support contract with the Slovenian Armed Forces. The contract, worth 25 MSEK, covers the maintenance and operational support of the combat training installation that the company will commence delivery of in January 2008.

"We are very pleased that the Slovenian Armed Forces have selected us as supplier. The Slovenian Armed Forces are a new customer for us and set great emphasis on training, educational value and maintenance of material. Slovenia is now the seventh country that has signed a support contract with us regarding combat training installations. This, once again, confirms our strong position as a supplier of services within military training," says Peter Laurits, Vice President, Marketing Saab Training Systems AB.

Saab won the contract for combat training installation at the end of 2006. The installation, which is mobile, consists of different weapons simulators, communications systems, mobile buildings and system for exercise command and evaluation. The new contract, in addition to service, maintenance and logistics, also includes repeat training and operational support both in the command centre and in the field. The contract runs for three years.
