VEM Delivers First B727 to Bolivia's Aerolineas Sudamericanas
(Rio de Janeiro, January 31, 2008) -- The largest MRO company in Latin America was chosen by the new Bolivian airline, Aerolineas Sudamericanas, to perform the Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) of its B727 aircraft. The objective of this service is to prevent the effects of one or more corrosive agents on the airplane, which is one of the inspection and repair products that VEM offers the market.
The airplane (CP-2499) arrived at VEM's hangar, in Porto Alegre, on December 17, and the services were completed in less than eight days, bettering the expected TAT (Turn-around Time) of nine days. This was the first job done by VEM for Aerolineas Sudamericanas, whose maiden flight took place at the beginning of January of this year, and which is starting with the quality and promptness of the services offered by the 6th biggest MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) company in the world.
"VEM performed well with the quality of the services carried out, where Aerolineas Sudamericanas looks to be a long-term client. We expect that this is just the beginning of a good relationship between AS and VEM, and that we will work together in the future," stated Eng. Edgar Revollo, AS Manager of Planning and Engineering in an e-mail, manifesting his satisfaction with the services executed.
