Company to Provide Engineering Services and Perform Environmental Studies in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division

(San Diego and McLean, Va., February 14, 2008) -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) Louisville District. This multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will provide engineering services in support of environmental remediation activities, such as corrosion control, and contaminated soil and groundwater cleanup. The follow on, five-year contract has a ceiling value of $18.5 million.

Throughout the contract, SAIC will also perform environmental studies and assist the COE with meeting regulatory cleanup goals and requirements, using information compiled from environmental audits, baseline studies and compliance assessments. Work will be performed at sites within the COE Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Mission Boundaries and the Nationwide Reserve Mission.

"SAIC has provided similar services to COE Louisville District for the past 12 years. We are pleased to continue supporting their important mission," said Bob Shokes, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
