Raytheon awarded $100M Paveway contracts

(Tucson, Ariz., February 21, 2008) -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) was awarded more than $100 million worth of contracts in the first two months of 2008 by countries in the Asia-Pacific region for the combat-proven Paveway(tm) family of precision-guided munitions. This comes on the heels of a record-setting $300 million worth of bookings for Paveway in 2007.

"The message is clear -- when warfighters want a direct-attack weapon they can count on, they choose Raytheon's Paveway," said Harry Schulte, vice president of Raytheon Missile Systems' Strike product line. "Raytheon's Paveway precision-guided munitions combine affordability with proven accuracy and reliability not found in other comparable weapon systems."
