(Edgewood, N.Y., March 13, 2008) -- CPI Aerostructures, Inc. ("CPI Aero") (AMEX: CVU) announced today that it has been awarded a $511,000 contract to provide the U.S. Government with two engine nose cowl assemblies for its E-3A Airborne Early Warning aircraft. The E-3A is used primarily by the United States and NATO to detect impending danger and perform electronic jamming functions.
Edward J. Fred, CPI Aero's CEO and President, stated, "CPI Aero was awarded its first nose cowl assembly contract for the E-3A back in August 2000. This new award represents the third follow-on order we have received for this assembly, bringing the total number of cowls ordered to 25, which is a testament to the quality of work that we have performed on this program."
