(McLean, Va., March 26, 2008) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to maintain and enhance the National Airspace System Resource (NASR) and Electronic NASR (eNASR) systems, collectively known as the NASR II system.

NASR II provides systems operation, maintenance and system enhancements in support of the FAA's Next Generation Air Transportation System, which provides added technological capability to meet future demands in air travel.

"Northrop Grumman is a leading provider of aeronautical information to the FAA and their Next Generation Air Transportation System," said Al Pisani, vice president of mission applications and information technology infrastructure for Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector. "We are committed to providing the FAA with the tools necessary to help alleviate congested airspace so that future travelers will safely and efficiently reach their destinations as demand for airspace continues to increase."
