ManTech Awarded $83 M Warfare Analysis Contract
(Fairfax, Va., March 27, 2008) -- ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) announced today that it has been awarded an $83 million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to provide Engineering and Technical Support Services in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division Warfare Analysis Department, AIR 4.10. The contract is for one year, with four additional option years, giving the program a total potential value of $83.2 million. It is an increase in scope over ManTech's current Warfare Analysis contract with NAVAIR which was awarded in December 2004. The new contract also provides for an expansion of existing work for additional requirements.
The competitively awarded, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has a base year plus four option years. Under this contract, ManTech will support the U.S. Naval Air System Command with a variety of analytical products and services including warfare analysis and assessments, advanced concept development and design, acquisition analysis and support, modeling and simulation, Naval Aviation Enterprise Warfare Analysis Environment support, software development, and programmatic analysis support.
Work will be performed primarily at NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD and Arlington, VA with some work conducted in the surrounding area and other locations in the United States.
"We are very proud of our team of experts assembled to provide the full spectrum of warfare analysis capabilities," said Kenneth J. Farquhar, President of ManTech Systems Engineering Corporation (MSEC). "The exceptional talent and comprehensive experience represented makes us a valuable industry partner as NAVAIR continues to support the acquisition and sustainment of naval systems across the Naval Aviation Enterprise."
