Herley Subsidiary Wins $13.5 M US Army Award
(Lancaster, Pa., April 3, 2008) -- Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Innovative Concepts, Inc. in McLean, Virginia, has received a contract award of approximately $13.5 million from the U.S. Army in support of ongoing software development of Improved Data Modem (IDM) software and technology.
Innovative Concepts developed IDM Technology(R) to supply data services in extreme physical environments where highly mobile data communications is required. IDM Technology(R) provides a robust set of data communications solutions deployable in virtually any mode of operation that places a premium on mobility and high reliability under less than optimum conditions. Software upgrades are being developed to meet mandates required for command and control, situational awareness and improved data links.
