NGC Awarded Contract to Support Army, Navy and Air Force

(Herndon, Va., April 17, 2008) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was awarded a five-year contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to support theoretical studies and engineering research for Army, Navy and Air Force research and development programs.

The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity Theoretical Studies and Engineering Services (TSER) contract has an option for five additional years. The program has a ceiling of $100 million over a 10-year period.

Under the terms of the TSER contract, Northrop Grumman will provide support for theoretical studies; engineering research; hardware manufacturing, design and analysis; field data analysis; program planning, management and reporting; administration; quality assurance; and other technical support.

"Northrop Grumman has proven experience and an excellent record of performance in every area of this contract," said Rob Maddox, program manager for TSER and Northrop Grumman's NASA Sounding Rockets Operations Contract (NSROC) at Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), Wallops Island, Va. "Through our NSROC contract, we've successfully supported Aegis Readiness Assessment Vehicles A and B launches with the Navy for quite some time. The TSER contract paves the way for future work with the Navy and other agencies on equally important defense initiatives."
