AS&E Receives $9.2 M ZBV Order

(Billerica, Mass., May 13, 2008) -- American Science and Engineering, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASEI) (AS&E(R)), a leader in X-ray detection technology, announced today the receipt of an order for multiple Z Backscatter Vans(TM) (ZBV(TM)) for a Latin American customs agency. The order includes operator training, service, and warranty. Three of the systems will be configured with Forwardscatter(TM) capability.
