GD Selects PacStar to Sell Sectera vIPer Secure Phones
(Scottsdale, Ariz., May 22, 2008) -- General Dynamics C4 Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has selected PacStar(tm), a technology-based provider of communications solutions to the military and government, to resell the Sectera(r) vIPer(tm) Universal Secure Phone. The Sectera vIPer Phone is the only secure desktop phone to be National Security Agency-certified to protect information classified Top Secret and below over commercial Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) networks for authorized U.S. military and government users.
The result of this agreement is a one-stop, total solution for government users of secure VoIP. The agreement allows PacStar to include Sectera vIPer phones in the integration and implementation of Cisco Unified Communications networks or to sell the secure phones to users with established Cisco Internet protocol (IP) networks.
"PacStar's ability to architect and implement Cisco IP solutions to the classified communications community made them an obvious choice to deploy the Sectera vIPer phone," said John Cole, vice president of Information Assurance for General Dynamics C4 Systems.
"We are pleased to have been selected by General Dynamics to resell the Sectera vIPer phone," said Bob Dunn, senior vice president of sales and marketing at PacStar. "Our customers in the military and government demand the most secure and reliable communications solutions. The Sectera vIPer meets that requirement as the next generation secure IP desktop phone."
