FLIR Receives $49.8 M From the Naval Surface Warfare Center

(Portland, OR., July 1, 2008) -- FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today that it has been awarded a $49.8 million firm-fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, for its Short Range - Ground Mobility Visual Augmentation Systems (SR-GMVAS). The units delivered under this contract are a Recon III variant and will be installed on military ground vehicles to provide surveillance, identification, detection and limited tracking capabilities in all light and weather conditions. Work will be performed at FLIR's Boston, MA facility.
