AS&E Receives Up to $15.5 M Service and Maintenance Contract
The first phase of the contract is funded at $7.6 million
(Billerica, Mass., July 28, 2008) -- American Science and Engineering, Inc. (AS&E(r)) (NASDAQ: ASEI), a leader in X-ray detection technology, announced today the receipt of a $15.5 million two-phased service renewal contract from the U.S. government for $15.5 million to support their fleet of Z Backscatter Vans(tm) (ZBV(tm)) and parcel X-ray inspection systems. The contract includes service, support, spare parts, and labor warranty for Z Backscatter Vans and parcel systems located in high-risk areas. The first phase of the contract is funded at $7.6 million.
