ManTech Awarded $151M IT Support Contract from NAVSEA
(Fairfax, Va., July 31, 2008) -- ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) announced that it has been awarded a five-year, $151 million task order to provide information technology support to the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), SEA 04L3. The performance-based task order was awarded under the NAVSEA Seaport Enhanced contract.
ManTech will provide IT support to the Navy's legacy Ship Maintenance and Logistics Support Information Systems Program to include the development of formal processes in life cycle planning, documentation, program management, program control, testing, training, and deployment. This task order will support the reengineering of NAVSEA IT corporate systems. The Navy will employ common system standards, processes and development methodology, along with shared resources and infrastructure, to improve function and reduce costs. Work will be performed primarily at the Norfolk region with additional work conducted at key locations across the United States.
