Nextjet of Sweden to Become New ATP Passenger Operator

(August 22, 2008) -- BAE Systems Regional Aircraft announced today that NextJet AB of Sollentuna, Sweden has acquired three 68-seat ATP passenger turboprop airliners for operations commencing late October on routes linking smaller communities in the north of the country to the capital Stockholm.

The three aircraft are being sub-leased from established ATP operator West Air Sweden, who also will provide maintenance and support to the NextJet operation. This is part of a new West Air Sweden strategy to grow its business in partnership with new operators.

Two of the aircraft have already been delivered to NextJet from the existing West Air Sweden fleet. Neither aircraft had been converted into freight configuration. The third aircraft (msn 2023) has been newly leased from BAE Systems to West Air Sweden to cover the NextJet requirement.
