NGC Appoints Don McHugh and David Reith to Key Company Positions

(Herndon, Va., August 29, 2008) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Donald E. McHugh Jr. vice president and controller of its Technical Services sector, and David Reith director of business operations and chief financial officer of National Security Technologies LLC (NSTec), located at the Nevada Test site, of which Northrop Grumman Corporation is the managing partner.

McHugh will oversee sector financial operations, including financial planning and reporting, pricing, regulatory compliance, accounting, and will ensure compliance with internal control practices and company policies and procedures.

"Don brings a rich wealth of knowledge and experience to the sector, and he will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and expand our operations both in the United States and around the world," said Dave Harvey, vice president of business management and chief financial officer for Northrop Grumman's Technical Services sector.

McHugh has served in financial, operational and project management positions in Northrop Grumman since 1981. Most recently, he served as the chief financial officer of the Civilian Agencies Group in the company's Information Technology sector, where he was responsible for all traditional budgeting, regulatory compliance, financial planning and group accounting functions.

McHugh earned a master's in business administration from Boston University Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in finance and risk management from Northeastern University in Boston.

Reith joined Northrop Grumman in 1987 and most recently served as vice president and controller of Northrop Grumman's Technical Services sector. He has held a number of increasingly responsible finance and business management positions at Northrop Grumman, including business manager for the transition and integration of Litton operations into the company's Electronic Systems sector and controller for the company's Shipbuilding sector.

"Dave did a tremendous job while serving as the sector controller, overseeing the complex transition of the sector to the One Source Enterprise Resource Planning Solution," said Harvey. "He will be a critical member of the NSTec team as the sector continues to execute that vital mission."

Reith earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with minors in accounting and economics, from Western Maryland College in Westminster, Md.
