Patria's Airport Cargo Handling Equipment Business Sold to German Laweco
(September 1, 2008) -- Patria has today signed an agreement for selling its Windhoff Vammas airport ground support equipment business to Laweco Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH in Germany.
The agreement covers Patria's airport ground support equipment activities worldwide. Smooth transition is ensured since the whole personnel of Windhoff Vammas Airport Equipment GmbH will transfer to Laweco.
The Windhoff Vammas organisation in Germany has long product and application experience in marketing and sales, design, manufacturing and aftersales of the said products and related services. The customer contacts are carried out both with direct sales and service as well as the existing sales and service representative networks.
"With this agreement Patria has completed its divestment of airport related activities. It is also a natural step forward in several years' evolution in which Patria has been focusing to its core businesses according to its strategy", states Executive Vice President Seppo Seppala from Patria.
