Embraer Delivers ERJ 145 Jet to Petroecuador
Aircraft will be used to transport employees of the State-owned company
(Sao Jose dos Campos, September 25, 2008) -- Embraer delivered an ERJ 145 jet to Petroecuador, Empresa Estatal Petroleos del Ecuador, today, at the manufacturer's
headquarters in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil. The aircraft is configured with 50 seats and will carry the company's employees between the airports of the nation's capital, Quito, and Lago Agrio and El Coca, both in the country's Amazon region.
"We are very pleased to deliver the first ERJ 145 aircraft to Petroecuador," said Eduardo Munhos de Campos, Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales - Americas, Defense and Government Market. "This product will certainly fully meet the expectations of our newest customer, to carry its employees safely and economically."
The deal, which was announced at the beginning of this year, also includes a comprehensive logistical package for supplying replacement parts, technical support and crew training.
"Petroecuador is making every effort to meet the quality and safety needs of our Aviation unit," said Commander Jaime Vela, Administrative Manager of Petroecuador. "This is why we look upon the acquisition of this aircraft, with great confidence and satisfaction, and we are certain that it will meet all of our expectations."
