CAE and Honeywell Join in Technical Training Alliance

NBAA, ORLANDO, U.S.A.--(Marketwire - Oct. 7, 2008) - (NYSE:CGT)(TSX:CAE) - CAE has signed a long-term alliance with Honeywell under which CAE will become the preferred provider of training services for business, commercial and military aviation for Honeywell Aerospace.

Under this alliance CAE and Honeywell have joined forces to provide the aerospace industry with the highest quality training for technicians and flight operations personnel in locations worldwide. Through this alliance, customers will receive an innovative, seamless and consistent training experience incorporating the latest training technology and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) technical expertise. All training will be delivered by a joint Honeywell and CAE team of instructors and subject matter experts, which have proven experience with Honeywell's aircraft products and systems.

CAE will use its simulation-based technology to maintain and update Honeywell's courseware, which includes material for approximately 150 technical courses for a variety of aircraft types, in business, commercial and military aviation. CAE will begin delivering training programs onsite at Honeywell's facility in Phoenix, Arizona, and is slated to expand the offering to worldwide locations in CAE's network of training facilities beginning in late 2008.

"We believe that this new training approach will provide our customers with expanded, comprehensive, and worldwide training solutions," said Adrian Paull, Honeywell Vice President for Customer and Product Support. "To make sure the training meets our customers' needs we have asked the Technical Training Sub-committee from the NBAA/Honeywell Technical Committee to provide us guidance in courseware development and delivery as we develop this alliance."

"We are delighted to partner with Honeywell. By working together, CAE and Honeywell will leverage their strengths to offer Honeywell customers training of the highest value," said Jeff Roberts, CAE's Group President, Innovation and Civil Training and Services. "Over the past few years, CAE has teamed with a number of original equipment manufacturers, to offer innovative and technologically advanced training services. CAE's philosophy of integrating its simulation to produce line-oriented, practical and current technical training solutions is being extremely well received by the market and ensuring that the highest safety standards are always met."
