ATK Receives Additional $197 M Small-Caliber Ammunition Orders

(Minneapolis, October 8, 2008) -- Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK) has received an additional $197 million in small-caliber ammunition orders from the U.S. Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island, Ill. Work on the contracts will be performed by ATK at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) in Independence, Mo. The orders include $184 million for the production small-caliber ammunition. An additional $13 million was awarded for facility upgrades at the plant.
