(Fairfax, Va., December 4, 2008) -- The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems a $52 million contract modification to provide operational support; field engineering, repair and return services; training; and system development for the U.S. and U.K. TRIDENT II (D5) Fire Control System (FCS). The contract also includes SSGN Attack Weapons Control Systems (AWCS) lifecycle cost control and technology refresh work. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
Work will be performed by existing employees in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 2011.
