As a subcontractor for Oshkosh, the company's advanced Armor Protection Kits will be used to protect 700 heavy trucks

(Kibbutz Sasa, Israel, August 21, 2006) -- Plasan Sasa, a global leader in the field of combat-proven ballistic armor solutions, has won a contract with the US Marines, as a subcontractor for Oshkosh, to supply armor for 700 LVSR trucks. Plasan Sasa will begin development in 2007, with delivery to continue until 2010.

"We continue to deepen and expand our cooperation with US manufacturers. The US market is of great importance to us. We are proud to have been selected for this project, which is a testament to our advanced technology, and to the confidence Oshkosh has shown in our capabilities", said Mr. Dan Ziv, CEO of Plasan Sasa.

The Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) trucks - which will replace the current Marine Corps LVS - will be used as a heavy tactical logistics distribution system for the transport of bulk liquids and cargo, ammunition, containers, and tactical support equipment, and will also be utilized for wrecker, towing, and recovery missions.

Plasan Sasa's battle-proven armor solution, engineered from composite materials, will be customized to meet the critical needs of the Marine Corps - assuring maximum protection for the driver's cabin against Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), mines, and other threats. The company's cost-effective and modular Armor Protection Kits (APKs) are quickly and easily assembled, disassembled, and transferred from one vehicle to another by crew members in the field, enabling rapid responses to evolving situations on the ground - a capability that is crucial in today's combat scenarios.
